Materials You'll Need:DIY key fobs
  1. 1 Inch Natural Heavy Cotton Webbing

  2. 1" Key Fob Hardware - 3 Colors

  3. EasyWeed HTV

  4. Custom DTF Mini Gang Sheet

    • Create your own: Custom DTF Mini Gang Sheet
    • Note: Size your wording to fit your keychains (around 5 inches long and 1/2 inch tall, staying under 1 inch).
  5. Key Fob Pliers

    • Optional, but recommended for easier assembly.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Before diving in, make sure you have all your materials ready. Lay out the cotton webbing, key fob hardware, EasyWeed HTV or DTF mini gang sheet, and  Key Fob Pliers or something to close the key fob hardware.

Step 2: Cut Your Cotton Webbing

Measure and cut the cotton webbing to 12 inches in length. This will result in a 6-inch key fob once folded in half. Customize the length based on your preference.

Step 3: Assemble the Key Fob

Fold the cut cotton webbing in half and insert it through the key fob hardware. Use the Key Fob Pliers to secure the webbing in place for easier assembly.

Step 4: Prepare Your Design

If you're using EasyWeed HTV, cut your design using a Cricut or similar cutting machine. For DTF mini gang sheets, customize your wording to fit within the dimensions of your key fob.

Step 5: Apply EasyWeed HTV or DTF Transfers

Follow the instructions for heat pressing:

  • EasyWeed HTV: Preheat your heat press to the recommended temperature. Place the cut design on the cotton webbing and press according to the HTV instructions.
  • DTF Mini Gang Sheet: Apply the custom transfer using a heat press, ensuring even heat distribution.

Step 6: Final Touches

Allow the key fob to cool. Your personalized DIY key fob is now ready to accompany you wherever you go!
